I know I haven’t updated in a while, so I apologise for that.  I’ve been ultra busy, as well as sick, for the last few days, what with work, school and such, so I haven’t had a lot of time for my blog.

I’m trying to come up with a domain name for a photoblog I’d like to start - I’m really starting to get into photography a lot lately, so I’d like a photoblog to show it off a bit more to the general public.   I have no idea on what I want included in the domain name, so if you want to throw some ideas my way, I’d really appreciate it.   It doesn’t have to include the words ‘photo’, ‘photography’ or anything like that - I mean, it can if you like - but it’s not necessary.

Umm anyway not a whole lot else going on.  I’m just keeping busy with other stuff right now.  So, until next time, peace out.

Yesterday I came home from work sick as a dog. I had a snuffly nose, a stuffy head, sore dry throat, lungs that felt like I’d smoked a whole packet of cigarettes in one go, and a chesty cough. I came home, went to have a nap for a couple of hours and felt reasonable after that, so Manda came over for dinner and to dye my hair for me (since I had about 2-3 inches of regrowth and GREYS galore). I love the colour now - it’s a dark brown, looks black in most light, but I took a photo of it by the window (see the photo after the cut). (more…)

So if you’ve read my last entry, you’d know that I haven’t been too happy about my birthday.

Well, my birthday was on Thursday, and it was exactly what I was anticipating, for the most part. I had to work, which was the least of the disappointment. We had planned to go out for dinner, but then Michael’s school calls him and tells him that he has class - not next week, nooo, not Friday, but THAT NIGHT. So we had to cancel dinner plans, on my birthday and Valentine’s Day, which is absolute bullshit.

The only good thing about Thursday was that I got my first presents - a new iPod nano 3rd gen in pink, which is totally kick-ass, and a ring from my parents.

So I had to eat by myself at home, with the ‘kids’ (my cats), whilst Michael went to class. I did some school work too, which was shitty but needed to be done.

On Friday, I was feeling pretty terrible in the morning so I stayed home and got a heck of a lot of sleep, which my body was totally craving. I did a clean-up of the study, so it’s looking nice now, and we had my best friend over for dinner, which was nice to catch up and everything. She gave me a JB Hi-Fi voucher and some chocolates, so that cheered me up a bit.

Then Saturday, my sister dropped over with my present and I gave her hers (her birthday was the 15th). She got me a jigsaw puzzle of a witch, a candle and holder, and some soap and lotion. We went out with her and her boyfriend (who’s birthday was also the 15th) and their friends, but we left after about an hour and a half because, well, my sister didn’t make any attempt to a) introduce us to anyone there, and b) didn’t attempt to include us in any conversation. So I just said we were heading off because we were running out of money, and we went home. I started my jigsaw puzzle and we went to bed about 11:45.

So the last chance of reviving my birthday celebrations was fucked up, and I now have to wait till next year to have any fun for my own birthday.
