Inspirata.org was purchased from GoDaddy in September 2006. It is hosted at Surnaturelle.
the name
To be completely honest, Inspirata.org came about after a late afternoon brainstorming session with Jess. There’s no big story behind it - I just had to come up with a name for my new domain quickly, and that’s what we came up with.
past
It all began when I started designing my own little sites on Expage when I was around 10 or 11 years old. I made my way through gURLpages and Topcities after that, going through various site names and so forth. I was ‘discovered’ by a girl named Krissy in January 2002, and she offered to host me on her personal domain (I believe it was d0rk.net or something). This was when I was introduced to the wonderful world of FTP and uploading and, being new to it all, I had no idea how to use it, but with Krissy’s help and guidance I quickly caught on and am now a fully confident user of FTP.
As previously mentioned, I’ve been through a barrage of site names (some okay, some absolutely pathetic), including ‘Kewland’ (my first site), ‘CrazySexyCool’, ‘Un-Disturbed’, ‘Empty Lust’ and ‘Handle This’, my last hosted site (at PixelFX).
I purchased my first domain, Never-Silent.net, in February 2005. After a year and a half of working with N-S.net, it became a hacker’s target, and had to be closed down on the 5th September 2006.
why the ads?
In all honesty, I don’t make enough money at my 9-5, and I’d like to make some for my internet requirements (hosting, registrations, as well as recreational stuff). So that’s why they’re there. I hope they don’t become too intrusive for you
